Taxonomies

Taxonomies are Resources that provide a hierarchical organization system for Segments, Segment Transforms, and Audiences. Currently Taxonomies are read-only.

A Taxonomy has child Taxonomy Nodes, which themselves can have child Taxonomy Nodes. A Taxonomy Node may also have child Segments, Segment Transforms, or Audiences present in the segments, segment_transforms, and audiences properties, respectively. This functionality is similar to how a desktop folder system can be used to organize files: folders can have subfolders inside of them, but they can also have files.

Taxonomy Nodes can be searched in the standard way, but this search currently only traverses the nodes themselves, not any child Segments, Segment Transforms, or Audiences. To search all available Segment Transforms, for example, one should instead use the corresponding endpoint in the Segment Transforms API
