How to Create and Manage Campaigns in the Console
Creating a Campaign
- From any page in the console, click the + button at the top right of the page and select the Create New Campaign option.
- Provide a name and an optional description, to help you identify this campaign.
- Set the start and end date covering the entire campaign run. Keep in mind that this campaign may include multiple sources with different timelines, so make sure that this date range takes that into account.
- Select an optional advertiser this campaign is associated with.
- Select an optional campaign vertical that best fits this campaign.
- Optionally, enter the estimated number of impressions for this campaign.
- The value is entered in millions of impressions. ex: entering 4.32 would equal an estimate of 4.32 million impressions.
- Configure campaign sources associated with this campaign.
- Select an existing source or create a new source. More information on creating sources can be found here.
- Add Source Filters by creating or selecting an existing filter key and then entering all filter values separated by commas. Click the Add New Filter button to add multiple filters.
- To assign custom labels, click the Add New Label button. Create or select an existing label key and then enter a single label value.
- Click the Associate Source button to associate the configured source with the campaign.
- Configure campaign measurement.
- Select the study type. Currently Incremental Lift Analysis is the only option.
- Select the length of the attribution window in days.
- If the pre-period is to be considered in reporting, confirm the Pre-Period toggle is toggled to on.
- If a control group is to be created and considered in reporting, toggle the Control toggle to on.
- If only a subset of the campaigns timeline should be used, toggle the Tie Dates to Campaign toggle and enter the desired dates. Note: the dates selected must fall within the campaign dates.
- Click the Associate Property button to associate any conversion properties. More information on configuring conversion properties in the console can be found here.
- Click the Review Campaign button to move to the campaign review page.
- After reviewing the configured campaign, decide if you are ready to submit the Measurement Study and toggle the Submit Measurement Study toggle as appropriate.
- Click the Save Campaign button or the Submit Campaign and Study button depending on option selected in the previous step.
Editing a Campaign
- Navigate to the campaign view page or the Campaign List page to edit a campaign.
- Users can update the campaign name, description, date range, associated advertiser, campaign vertical, and the estimated number of impressions.
Add Sources
Additional sources can be associated with an existing campaign.
- Travel to the campaign view page and open the Sources tab.
- Click the + Associate Source button to open the source modal.
- The user can now associate existing sources or create new sources to be associated with the campaign. More information on creating sources in the console can be found here.
- Add Source Filters by creating or selecting an existing filter key and then entering all filter values separated by commas. Click the Add New Filter button to add multiple filters.
- To assign custom labels, click the Add New Label button. Create or select an existing label key and then enter a single label value. Click the Add New Label button again to add multiple custom labels.
- Click the Associate Source button to associate the configured source with the campaign.
Add Properties
Additional conversion properties can be associated with an existing campaign.
- Travel to the campaign view page and open the Configrations tab.
- Click the + Associate Property button to open the property modal.
- The user can now associate existing properties or create new properties to be associated with the campaign.
